Nursery Class Teacher

I have been working at St. Michael’s for two years and it has been a great experience. I taught in Tokyo for one year before coming to St. Michael’s, and I have to say I find the atmosphere of Kobe more enjoyable. When I am not at school I enjoy running, reading, traveling, and watching movies. I also enjoy trying new kinds of food, and this is one of the best places to do that.

I have a degree in Primary Education from Australia, as well as a Postgraduate Certificate in Journalism with several years of experience in Early Childhood Education. Until recently, I was teaching at an international school in Tokyo, implementing the U.K. curriculum into a Kindergarten class.

I have been teaching at St Michael’s for 3 years. I love playing most sports, especially volleyball, squash and of course rugby. I really enjoy living in Japan, especially Kobe as the mountains and harbor remind me of home.

I am currently in my 1st year at St. Michael’s and love teaching. I have worked in America for 1 year and went to visit some amazing places. I love to travel and recently learnt to dive in the Philippines. My favourite past times are skiing and watching a good movie.

Hello St. Michaels' Friends! It's been a year since I came to Japan from the UK and I've had a wonderful time. Previously I taught in schools on the south coast of England so it was good to again come and be in a city by the sea. Kobe and St.Michael's are such friendly places to live and work. Thank you to everyone who has helped me settle in! My spare time is filled with art, reading, sport, cooking, writing and trying (often unsuccessfully) to learn as much Japanese as I can.

This is my first year teaching at St. Michael’s and I have enjoyed it very much. I have taught in the UK and Hong Kong before this but have found Kobe the nicest place to work so far. I love being active, playing sports and playing music out of school and try to be just as lively, creative and colourful inside of school.

I have been teaching at St Michael’s for one year. Many years ago I attended middle and high school at international schools in Tokyo and Yokohama. It’s really great to return to Japan to work in such a friendly environment. I enjoy traveling, learning foreign languages and eating foreign food.

I am currently in my 4th year as St. Michael’s tallest teacher and every day has offered me a new adventure and put a smile on my face. I love watching, playing and coaching football and support Everton F.C., except when they lose. Often I will be found reading a crime novel, watching an adventure movie or listening to some funky rock music.

I have been at St. Michael’s for twelve incredible years as both a parent and teacher. I have taught at various levels throughout the school and cannot think of a place I’d rather be working. When I’m not at school I enjoy traveling with my family, I love devouring mystery novels and can be found reading everywhere I go.

I have been teaching at St. Michael’s for 6 years, long enough to see many changes. I was a Special Education Teacher in the U.S. before coming to Kobe and I’m thoroughly enjoying my international school experience. I like relaxing at our family camp in Maine, long walks in the woods, country music, cats and shopping. The joy of my life is spending time with my delightful son and my multi-talented husband.
