I have been teaching at St. Michael’s for two exciting years. My relation with the school goes 6 years back when my wife started teaching here and my son joined Nursery. Away from work, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful wife Karla and precious son Ali-Kyle, especially outdoors—playing, visiting new places and learning together. I also enjoy fixing small mechanical or electronic devices, programming, working with metals and woods, reading, and learning new languages. Not everyone gets to enjoy all this and enjoy their job too, so I feel very fortunate that I am able to have all of this.

At St. Michael’s International School, I feel privileged to meet children from so many different countries, to teach them, and to learn new things constantly from them. In my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking in Mt. Rokko, visiting museums, strolling along the beach and drinking coffee with cakes in one of many trendy cafes in Kobe.

I started teaching here as the Primary One class teacher (present Year 2) where I had 26 children form many parts of the world including one from Sudan. Currently I am teaching English in the English Language section and Japanese to the International School children. I love teaching, being part of St. Michael’s and welcoming back our old students some of whom are now mothers and fathers.

I have been at St. Michael's International School for the last 2 and a half years. Kobe is a wonderful place to be and St. Michael's is a special place to work. I love all kinds of sports, especially playing golf and volleyball. As for music, so long as it moves me, I like it.

This is my fourth year at St. Michael’s School and I look forward to many more. I worked for two years as the Year 2 Assistant with Miss. Shy (now Mrs. Wilson) and now I assist Mrs. Hunter in Year 6. I count myself as a very fortunate man to have such an enjoyable job and a delightful family to go home to at the end of each day.
