LIBRARY BAG
Library bags must be purchased by all students.  Newly designed library bags will be available from August 2010.  Old style Library Bags can be used until August 2011.  New Library Bags will become compulsory from August 2011.

HAT
Currently children are allowed to wear their own sunhat.  A uniform sunhat with School logo will be available soon, and will become compulsory from August 2011.

Sun Smart Policy
While having fun in the sun never hurt anyone, St Michael’s recognises the need for students to be aware of, and to learn the importance of, protecting their skin from the sun’s ultraviolet rays.   Childhood exposure to harmful ultraviolet radiation from the sun is a major contributory factor in the later development of skin cancer.
With this in mind the School will highly encourage students to wear a sunhat during the summer months for all outdoor activities, and ask that parents provide a water bottle for their child to keep them healthy and hydrated.  We also highly encourage parents to use a SPF 15+ broad spectrum water-resistant sunscreen on child in the mornings before they leave for School.

Cold Weather Policy

In cold weather non-uniform items such as scarves and jackets may be worn to and from School.  They may also be worn during breaks in the playground.  A white turtle necks (or long sleeve T-shirt) may be worn only under the long sleeve blouse or shirt
