St. Michael's History

St. Michael’s International School has a long and distinguished history having been established on 10th March 1946 on land owned by the Anglican church.  The school was founded by  Miss Leonora Lea, a British missionary who remained in Kobe during the Second World War and Bishop Michael Yashiro of Kobe’s St. Michael’s Diocese, who would later become Anglican Primate, or Archbishop, of Japan.
