Our Annual Fund is a year-long fundraising programme that helps us improve many of the cultural and academic experiences that make St Michael’s International School special. By giving to the Annual Fund, families and friends of the school play an important part in supporting the wide range of opportunities we can offer our students.
Gifts to the Annual Fund are usually used within the same year, or very soon after. They help us pay for things that are not possible from the regular school budget, for example new learning resources, improvements to play spaces, or extra fun activities for students.
Led by our POSMs (Parents of St Michael’s), the Annual Fund has already supported purchases such as guided reading books for the classroom and library, and cameras and audio-visual equipment.
Giving to the Annual Fund is voluntary. Every gift, whether large or small, helps us nurture the next generation of learners. When many people each give a little, together we can make a big difference for our students now, not in the distant future.
In 2025–2026, the Annual Fund will support the replacement of the sun sails in the playground. Our original sun shade, installed in 2013, has done a great job but it is now time to be replaced. New sun sails will provide safer and more comfortable shaded spaces throughout the year. Improved protection from the sun will help students play and learn outdoors for longer, support staff who are supervising and leading outdoor activities, and offer families a more welcoming environment during school events. This investment strengthens the overall wellbeing of our community by promoting healthy outdoor time while reducing heat and sun exposure.
