Inside the IEYC Curriculum

This week we welcomed parents to an Inside the IEYC Curriculum workshop. The aim was to give families a clear view of how our youngest learners grow, enquire and develop confidence in the Early Years.

The session introduced the key features of the IEYC. Parents saw how purposeful play, language-rich activities and well-planned routines help children build curiosity, independence and early learning skills. We also explained how teachers observe progress and use this information to plan the next steps in each child’s learning. Classroom examples showed how themes are introduced and how children explore ideas in practical and creative ways. Parents learned more about the personal goals in the IEYC, including communication, resilience and adaptability.

A strong partnership between home and school is essential in the Early Years. The workshop gave families the chance to ask questions and understand how they can support learning at home. Thank you to all who joined us. Your interest and involvement strengthen the learning community and help every child make a confident start to school.
