At St. Michael’s, our school values are not simply words. They are part of the way we learn, work and live together every day. Each week, our Merit Certificates give us the opportunity to recognise children who have demonstrated our values through their actions, attitudes and choices. Whether showing respect, compassion, responsibility, honesty, integrity, tolerance or endeavour, these moments help make our shared values visible across the school.

The certificates celebrate more than achievement. They recognise kindness, perseverance, positive relationships, thoughtful decision making and the many small actions that contribute to a strong and caring community. By highlighting these examples each week, we help children understand what our values look like in practice and encourage everyone to play their part in creating a school where people feel supported, included and proud to belong.
