Get ready to jump, move and make a difference! This year, our annual Wellness Week brings the St. Michael’s community together for Jump for Joy, our whole school Skip-a-thon supporting TELL Japan. Wellness Week is about caring for both our physical and mental wellbeing. Through movement, personal challenge and shared experiences, children will explore how healthy choices can help us feel stronger, happier and more connected.
Throughout the week, children will develop their skipping skills, set personal goals and challenge themselves to keep going. Our Autumn PE Morning Wellness Hikes will take us outdoors to enjoy movement and nature together. Classes will also explore simple ways to support their own wellbeing and the wellbeing of others. Jump for Joy connects our learning with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. It helps children see how local action can contribute to a wider global goal. Our Skip-a-thon will raise awareness and funds for TELL Japan, which provides mental health support and resources across Japan.
As children collect sponsorship, every jump becomes part of something bigger. They will put compassion into action, show endeavour through personal challenge and take responsibility for supporting others. We will finish with our Celebration Assembly sharing some impressive skipping skills and celebrating what we have achieved together. One rope. Lots of jumps. A whole community making a difference. Jump for Joy and join us for another Wellness Week of growing, working and learning together.
