Our recent Performing Arts Showcase saw us enjoy 25 different performances from learners of all ages, With a range of arts including dance, singing and a multitude of instruments, there was really something for everyone to enjoy. The Performing Arts are all about self expression and play a hugely significant role in helping children to develop their creative skills. They also teach children language and communication skills, helping them to communicate effectively with others with confidence. With improved self confidence and self belief, comes a natural pathway for children to go on to master many more skills that will equip them for life. Children involved in the arts demonstrate improved focus and concentration, well developed language and communication skills. A recent study in the US found that children who participate in Performing Arts activities are more likely to study highly academic subjects such as advanced mathematics, and to go on to further and higher education.
