Our Annual Get Acquainted Tea is a special St. Michael’s tradition. It celebrates what matters most to us: relationships, community and a strong sense of belonging. The Tea gives Primary parents a relaxed chance to meet each other. They can also spend time with the teachers and other adults who work closely with their children. It is a chance to put faces to names, make new connections and strengthen the partnership between home and school.

For families who are new to St. Michael’s, events like this are especially important. Joining a new school also means joining a new community. We want every child and every family to feel welcome, known and included from the start. For returning families, the Tea is a chance to reconnect after the summer and to welcome new families into our community. Strong school communities grow through small moments of connection. Parents get to know each other. Families get to know the adults who support their children. Most importantly, everyone can feel that they have a place at St. Michael’s. This sense of belonging helps our children feel happy, secure and ready to learn.
