St. Michael’s Day is one of the special traditions in our school calendar. Each year, children and staff make their way to Kobe’s Anglican Cathedral for a celebration of our school, our community and the values that bring us together. There is something powerful about gathering the whole school in one place. From our youngest learners beginning their St. Michael’s journey to our Year 6 pupils starting their final year with us, everyone belongs. Together, we sing, reflect and celebrate the friendships, relationships and shared experiences that make our school much more than a place to learn.
As an Anglican international school, St. Michael’s Day also connects us with our heritage and reminds us of the values at the heart of school life: honesty, integrity, endeavour, respect, compassion, tolerance and responsibility. These are values we aim to live every day, in our classrooms, on the playground and across our wider community. As we begin another exciting year of learning, St. Michael’s Day is a chance to celebrate where we have come from and look forward to everything that lies ahead.
A new school year. A community together. A place where everyone belongs. Growing, working and learning together.
