Communication, Collaboration, and Community

One of the many strengths of a small school is the deeply rooted sense of community that flourishes within it. At St. Michael’s, this is especially evident in the way our students communicate and collaborate across year groups. Whether through whole-school events or shared learning experiences, our older children naturally take on the role of mentors and positive role models for their younger peers.

This year’s Book Week provided a perfect example, with paired reading sessions bringing together children of different ages to enjoy stories, share ideas, and build connections. These moments help develop communication skills, build confidence, and foster a culture of empathy and mutual respect.

We are proud of the way our school community supports one another. It is this spirit of collaboration that makes St. Michael’s such a warm, inclusive, and inspiring place to learn and grow.
