Year 6, Ready to Make a Difference

As our Year 6 students prepare to graduate and take the next step in their learning journey, we celebrate not only their academic achievements but the personal growth they have shown during their time at St. Michael’s. This final term is a special opportunity to reflect on the values of responsibility and respect that they have embodied throughout the year, as well as the essential skills of collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking that will serve them well into the future.

This week, our Year 6 students showcased all of these qualities through a meaningful and engaging project. As part of their learning, they designed and created games to raise awareness about endangered animals. These games weren’t just informative—they were interactive, thoughtful, and fun. Year 6 then shared their creations with both Year 1 and Year 5, encouraging dialogue, teamwork, and shared learning across the school.

It was a wonderful moment to see our oldest students stepping confidently into leadership roles, supporting younger learners, and using their voices to inspire action and care for the world around them. We are incredibly proud of their journey and all they have contributed to our community. We look forward to celebrating their graduation soon and know they will carry the spirit of St. Michael’s with them wherever they go.
