Sports Day

Sports Day brings our whole school together in a joyful celebration of effort, teamwork, and fair play. From the opening warm ups to the final relays, our learners have the chance to demonstrate the athletic skills they have been rehearsing this term. Running, jumping, throwing and paced team events all showcase growing confidence, control, and stamina.

Throughout the day, our values were on full display. We saw endeavour in every determined sprint and every measured jump. Honesty and integrity were evident in accurate scoring, respectful officiating, and gracious acceptance of results. These moments matter. They show character as well as competence, and they build the habits that underpin success in learning and in life.

Sports Day also strengthened key personal skills. Collaboration was visible in smooth baton exchanges and coordinated field teams. Communication kept events organised and spirits high, with learners encouraging one another and listening carefully to instructions. Critical thinking came to the fore as children planned race strategies, adjusted technique, and reflected on performance between heats.

Thank you to the staff and volunteers who prepared learners so thoroughly and ensured a safe, inclusive programme, and to families whose encouragement lifted every participant. Every child had the chance to participate, to improve, and to contribute to the success of their team.

As we look ahead, we will keep building strong foundations for healthy, active living across the curriculum. The commitment and joy we witnessed today will carry into future lessons and fixtures, helping every learner to grow in skills, confidence, and character.
