Bookworm Awards

Our Bookworm Awards are a much-loved part of Book Week, celebrating pupils who show a genuine love of reading and are always ready to dive into a good book. Nominated by class teachers as well as our Library Teacher, these annual awards recognise children in Early Years to Year Six who are developing consistent reading habits, curiosity, and a strong connection to stories. Congratulations to this year’s Bookworm Award winners. Thanks to a very generous donor, each winner can select up to ¥10,000 worth of books helping them build their own home libraries and continue their reading journey beyond the classroom.

At St. Michael’s International School, events like Book Week help children see reading as something joyful, shared, and worth making time for. We look forward to the many new books, conversations, and recommendations that will come from these well-deserved awards.
