Our annual Book Week celebrates books and storytelling and their importance for a child’s development. Book Week is a brilliant opportunity to improve comprehension skills and foster language fluency. It also helps to enhance cognitive abilities such as memory retention, critical thinking and problem solving. Sharing thoughts and emotions related to stories encourages empathy, emotional intelligence, and enhances children’s ability to understand the perspectives of others. Book Week plays a vital role in setting the foundation for a positive attitude towards reading, which can lead to a passion for learning in the future. This brilliant week will come to an end on Friday with our much loved Book Character Dress-up Day, when teachers and learners bring the magic of books alive. In 2023 we had a fabulous response – who will you dress up as this year?
