37 Years of Friendship

Lat week our Year 4 students welcomed children and teachers from our partner school in Sasayama City, continuing a cherished relationship that will celebrate 37 years of friendship in January 2026. The visit is a valued tradition in our school calendar and an important example of how we extend our community beyond Kobe.

Throughout the day, students from both schools learned and played side by side. They worked together in mixed groups, shared stories about their school lives and supported one another through activities. In doing so, they acted as respectful ambassadors for their schools, showing how young people can build bridges across different backgrounds and experiences.

The visit highlighted our belief that learning is richer when it is shared. Meeting peers from another community helps our learners to practise communication, develop confidence and grow in understanding of life beyond their own classrooms. For many, these experiences create memories that last well into adulthood.

As we look ahead to marking 37 years of this partnership in January 2026, we remain committed to strengthening these connections. We are grateful to our colleagues in Sasayama City for their continued collaboration and we look forward to many more years of learning and friendship together.
